Fernando and Victoria met in Chicago in 2017 and began a long-distance relationship, spending countless hours on FaceTime and taking frequent flights between Houston and Chicago. After two years of dating, they moved to Queens, New York, where Victoria completed her master's degree. Since then, they have shared a love of travel and have explored nine countries together. They enjoy movie nights, the occasional reality TV binge, and spending time outdoors.

Their appreciation for outdoor adventures, including hiking, biking, and swimming, is what ultimately drew them to Austin, Texas, where they now call home.

One destination that has always been on Victoria's bucket list was Costa Rica. In July 2024, they finally made the trip, and Fernando proposed at the breathtaking Arenal Volcano in La Fortuna, making the experience even more unforgettable.
